La boulangerie: 'Les Co-pains'

The bakery visit to 'Les Co-pains' was to learn about how organic bread is made and to make our own - also to learn about an alternative lifestyle choice -focussed on cooperative working rather than money-making.







Sand-sculpting

A sand-sculpting competition was held  by Coach B.  Sculptors later presented their work to an appreciative (well, mostly appreciative) audience, explaining their inspiration and inviting comments.

Biscuiterie 'Les Sablés d'Asnelles' a visit to learn about how to make biscuits from a lovely man who speaks beautifully clear French and who loves Bruce Springsteen, Neil Young and Leonard Cohen.

For Coach B, this was followed by an outdoor history lesson from Mr Blackband ... the pupils were captivated.
